Prayer for the City

The Psalmist calls upon God’s people to “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem” so that all who live in her walls will find peace and security (Psalm 122). We’ll join to pray for Kansas City as we stand looking out over the city from the WWI memorial site. We will pray and sing that our city will be a place of hope. With the recent violence in our world, we will expand our prayer to all our nation and those affected by violence in these days. The prayer service will last 30 minutes. There is no seating. All ages welcome. Parking is free in and around the memorial site but persons need to walk to the memorial and the overlook.

Led by Rev. Tom Are, Jr., senior pastor, Will Breytspraak, director of music, and Dr. Rodger Nishioka, senior associate.
